International Witness Updates

Bock Ki Kim & Sook Kyoung Park give an update regarding the Seoul church plant

“We just moved to a new meeting place last Sunday. The people are happy to have the new place with a reasonable rent fee. Once our people have a clear identity as an official church, they will be more comfortable to announce it. […]. I am glad the group has been careful in discerning next steps as a Mennonite congregation from the beginning.”

Columbian Mennonite Church provides for Venezuelan refugees

In his words to the National Assembly of the Columbian Mennonite Church, Erwin Mirabal, President of Mennonite Church of Venezuela, offered words of thanks for the Columbian Mennonite Churches that have provided refuge to Mennonites fleeing Venezuela:

“Dear Brothers, we deeply appreciate all your accompaniment and love with which you have treated us, for your efforts in getting the medicines, for your prayers and also for accepting us in your midst. May the Lord continue to bless you greatly.”

MMN staff share support team model with Witness workers

During this first week of April, MC Canada's International Witness workers are meeting virtually with two Mennonite Mission Network (MMN) staff with more than 15 years of experience with the Witness Support Team (WST) model. These MMN staff members will share their history working with support teams, how they addressed challenges, provide their counsel and input into what MC Canada can anticipate as we face this significant transition and opportunity. The first meeting went well with good questions asked and MMN staff providing helpful responses. (See video below for more information about WSTs.)
