New! Update on Bill C-262

Fantastic news! Bill C-262, the Indigenous Human Rights Bill, was endorsed by the ruling Liberal party at second reading on December 5, 2017. After a 3rd Reading, and final, it can be brought to the Senate for Royal Assent.  MP Romeo Saganash expresses his sincere gratitude to our Mennonite community for all the work we’ve done to get things this far. We’re encouraged to keep sending the free Walk the Talk postcards ( to all MPs, encouraging them to stand up for justice and reconciliation

New! Witness Focus
Greg Rabus and Jennifer Otto (Witness workers – Ludwigshafen, Germany) shared recently: “From the Syrian and Iraqi refugees we work with every day, we have learned much about generosity, a supportive attitude, and a focus on human relationships that is not very emphasized in our Western culture. It makes us love and appreciate this work, and think about how to incorporate those attitudes into our own work and service to God. […] We are grateful for the community that has come together in the Friedenshaus. We do feel that in the coming-together of the church, people from the neighbourhood, and immigrants/refugees in Ludwigshafen, that God's Spirit is working through the practical help that is given and the relationships that are forming.”

Ian Matthias Rabus was born Nov. 9th weighing 10.5 lbs. Big brother Alex is also very happy with Ian’s arrival.
